OK, I want it all and I want it now! It dawned on me this week that I've been planning and praying about systems that require PEOPLE to own and implement. I've said it a hundred times, I must let go of things or I become the rate limiting step. I DON'T WANT TO BE THE RATE LIMITING STEP! So I'm going to try to put together a flow chart of the leadership positions we need and the order in which they will take priority. As the leadership steps forward, we will train and release them. Otherwise we will only do the things we can do consistently well. I told Allison last night that we have two choices about how we respond to the next few months. We can worry and fret over results or we can work to give God his due glory and enjoy Him. God will give the increase we are simply going to sow, water, and work the fields.
Reading Romans 8 this morning. (Note: If you haven't found BibleGateway yet try the link. You can read from dozens of translations.) Man is this chapter packed full of good stuff. It's simply incredible. Soak it in and soak in it for a while. I'm loving this: 37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[o] neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. It just doesn't get much better than that.
