Just before bedtime....
- I love Life Group. It's a special time for me to hear how God is impacting and changing lives. I don't have to do all of the talking. I get tired of hearing myself talk.
- Speaking of talking. I promise to do LESS from the platform. After about a minute all the crowd hears is blah, blah, blah anyway. We'll do better communicating other ways to keep the information coming.
- First service was choppy for me. Maybe even sloppy. I never felt confident where we were on timing and IT SHOWED. I have a remedy for that as well.
- New content will be posted routinely on the website under LATEST NEWS.
- 30 families will have a nice Thanksgiving dinner because of your generous hearts. Boxes due back the Eighteenth... NEXT SUNDAY!
- New record attendance again today. I made a pledge today that I will probably regret. Possibly by Easter... Check out Connor's "doo" for details... No cheetah spots....
- I keep reminding myself and will remind you to remind me.... KEEP IT SIMPLE.
- This week we will put several things on the calendar.... Our very first Baptism Bash, Ordination, Membership Class, Volunteer Appreciation Dinner...
- Our kids really like donuts.... Debbie says the hot chocolate is a hit. Personally I like the sweet tea... Let those gals dishing out the goods know how much you appreciate their hospitality.
- Have you invited anyone lately. We have some Disciple DVD's remaining. Vision 07 DVD's and should have the Supernatural Series available Sunday. Please put one in the hands of someone you think would enjoy our Experience.
- Are you praying? We need it. Many difficult decisions and battles raging right now. All of our planning and working is meaningless without God's activity. Seek him out in prayer on behalf of our church, our leadership, and those all around us who are far from God.
- Do you have new appreciation for God's Word now that you have some history and know the price that was paid by many so that you might be able to read and study it?
- I "embedded" my first video in the previous post. Cool huh? This was a YouTube video posted by Terry Storch. Terry was the dark headed, scruffy bearded dude in the sermon intro talking about YouVersion.com. I credit Terry and his book for getting me started on the blog.
Sleeepy... you're getting very sleeepy.... Good night guys. Be the BOD where it counts... inside the very skin God gave you that holds you together. Lives are changing and you're in the messy middle of it... How cool is that?
