Words rolling around in my head after Sunday:
1. Minutiae... :)
2. Community... what does real community look like for the church in Roland, Oklahoma in the year 2009?
3. Children... child dedication is coming up this weekend and it causes me to reflect on the impact TheBOD will have for generations to come.
4. Care... do we really or do we simply want to think we do to ease our conscience?
5. Construction... we need space. At 251 in two Experiences we are full. Child dedication at 9:30 will be insane... and.... AWESOME! I'm excited to see what God does next as we move forward. Important meeting tomorrow night. Please pray that God is in the lead on a future new home for TheBOD.
6. Time... I seem to be running out of the most precious commodity on earth. I'm making new commitments to equipping and empowering. For TheBOD and Johnny to be healthy I cannot be a bottleneck and Jesus must be at the center of my life. It means more saying "no", less busy work, less distraction, more prayer, more rest, more equipping, less tradition, less spinning plates, less bottle-feeding, more teaching others to stand and chase after God's plan for their life, more creativity, more play.
It's going to be an amazing summer. We have some cool stuff planned. You BODers are going to LOVE IT. DON'T BLINK.
