I recently used a kindness card with a small box full of personal items, lotion, bath product, gum, puzzle books, flip -flops, drink mix, etc. for a middle aged friend. She had recently been ill, lost her home and transportation, and is now in a retirement center. She spent some time going through the box, with a big smile. She stated it had been a long time since anyone had shopped for her, and stated this made her day, and her situation more tolerable. It took very little time, cost under $25 dollars, and most items could be picked up in the check-out counter at the grocery store or Wal-Mart.
i love reading and hearing the stories... they almost always make me cry and smile, and yes at the same time. keep posting...please :)
