Warning: I'm about to get on my soap box.... nope.... changed my mind... I just deleted a paragraph of rear-blistering. Jake called... he was working on about 1.5 hours of sleep. Working at LC Stillwater this week as they prepare for At The Movies. He said all this week the staff and volunteers will be up until 2-3AM decorating as they prepare for this series. Focus. Sacrifice. Plain old HARD WORK. Think what you want.... success comes with a high price. God deserves nothing less. hmmm there I go again. Better put a lid on it. I'll let Thomas Edison do the talking... he said:
Opportunity is missed by most people because it comes dressed in overalls and looks like work.
There is no substitute for hard work.
Genius is one percent inspiration and 99 percent perspiration.
Success is 10 percent inspiration and 90 percent perspiration.
I struggle with the balance...the Word says: It is vain for you to rise up early, To retire late' To eat the bread of painful labors: For He gives to His beloved even in his sleep. Psalm 127:2

Lots of references of the importance of hard work throughout the scripture. Even reference to work at everything you do as though you are working for the Lord. This reference not only says work hard, it implies the necessity of giving all for Christ. Most of the rising early and staying up late in our culture is done to build our own kingdom, not the Kingdom of God. Christ didn't call us to come and find balance... His call is to come and die.
