Here's some randomness for you...
*Current series: BE-THE-BOD... We are team teaching our own series for the month of July. Yesterday on LOVE GOD @Allisonaththebod, my beautiful, intelligent, passionate, gifted wife knocked it out of the park. @Krohnus followed with an incredible video... though he's not so beautiful... he did a great job as well. Thankful for my team and I'm really looking forward to next with with LOVE OTHERS and Amy K. bringing the bacon on Groups and Growth.
* Vacation came at the perfect time. They say change of place, change of pace and you will get fresh perspective... TRUE for me... knocked out some much needed R&R, did some reading and thinking that has really put me in a strong place as we go through this series. Have you taken your time off yet? DO IT NOW! You might just find that creative kick-start you've been needing.
* The thought that keeps ringing in my head comes from the last glimpses of Jesus as he about to give us marching orders right before his ascension. Matthew 28:17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. This seriously blows my mind. The Risen Savior is standing in front of you and you're in the "some doubted" crowd!!?? I hope there isn't a chapter written somewhere in the archives of Heaven where it says, "And God's Holy Spirit impressed _________ on Johnny's heart but.... he doubted..." I'd rather it say, "Johnny got ahead of himself, stepped in a pile of poop and really messed things up because he ate too much pizza one night and thought God was telling him something..." than... "and Johnny doubted". I want to be in the "they worshiped him" crowd... You?
* Been lifting weights routinely since January. It's become a little bit enjoyable. The discipline to roll out at 6:30am and pump some iron is paying off. Spent July 4th on the mountain bike trails and playing disc golf with the young bucks and felt really good. It's never too late. Are you taking care of your body. It's time. It's worth it.
What's God doing in your life? Post here or shoot me and email... johnny@thebod.tv. I'd love to hear about it and pray for you.
